Periodicity of repeating fast radio bursts indicates a neutron star with a nearby planet
The authors analyze over 1000 bursts from repeating fast radio burst FRB 20121102A, detecting a 157-day quasi-period consistent with a binary degenerate star system. Notably, they also find a 4.6-day candidate period only visible in high-energy bursts, indicative of a planet closely orbiting the primary neutron star.
